Initial Registration Scholarships

The Nursing and Midwifery Office (NMO) provides financial assistance to applicants who are studying to gain an initial qualification.

Courses of study which will be considered include: enrolled nurse; enrolled nurse to registered nurse; registered nurse; midwife; and registered nurse and midwife dual degree.

The scholarships are part of the NMO’s commitment to building workforce capacity and capability.

Successful applicants will be awarded a set amount of each successfully completed unit of study.The amount of funding awarded is dependant on workforce requirements and areas of high clinical need.

As part of your application you will need to attach the following documents:

  • confirmation of enrolment from your WA vocational education and training institution for the units you plan to study
  • where applicable, evidence of your successful completion of previous relevant study
